Ladies' Night

July 18  6:30 pm  at the home of Rachel Graneng

RSVP to Rachel here and she will give you her address and directions.

What happens when a bunch of Jewish ladies get together? Why, they eat, of course! The Beit Haverim Ladies' Group has a regular program of activities, all of which (seem to) center around food. What a great way to meet new friends and connect with old ones. Whether you are a member or a guest, married, single, widowed, have children or not, you are welcome to join us at our next event.  We are a diverse group of women, from working professionals to stay-at-home moms, ranging in age from 20s to 80s.

  • Personal growth
  • Jewish involvement
  • Feeling of community
  • Strengthening one’s faith and learning its precepts
  • Establishing and maintaining a meaningful Jewish lifestyle

We invite you to join us!

Tikkun Olam/Social Action

"Justice, justice, you shall pursue." (Deut 16:20)

Beit Haverim promotes, facilitates and shares in diverse social action activities in response to the core principle of Jewish ethics: Tikkun Olam - mending the world.

Beit Haverim has a longstanding commitment to social action – setting in motion the ideals and values of our traditions through deeds of justice and compassion. Our activities include organizing various drives throughout the year and providing support to needy members of our community through targeted programs.

As we pursue the important work of creating a better world, we strengthen the relationships within our congregation and broaden our connections to other communities. In doing so, we develop a better awareness and understanding of our responsibility to each other. We show that we care, mentor our children and create meaningful change.  All are invited and encouraged to participate in the work of social justice.

Men's Group

Brotherhood is at the very heart of Beit Haverim Men’s Group.   Gathering together informally on a monthly basis, the men of Beit Haverim enjoy creating new friendships as much as we cherish building lasting ones.  New members, active leaders, spouses, close friends, anyone seeking to connect – all of us have a home within the congregational brotherhood.  From the casual lunch to the pub crawl, from poker to sporting events, from community service to cultural experience to religious practice, Men’s Group events are limited only by the diversity of our own interests – more important than “what we do” is “with whom.”

Camping on the beach with our families, enjoying Super Bowl parties with our sons (and daughters), attending community exhibits, engaging in meaningful tikkun olam activities, tasting new foods, gathering at the local watering hole, reflecting upon an afternoon of education, investing in a weekend of service, appreciating the hours we spend together, looking forward to our next event – this is what brotherhood means at Beit Haverim.  Whether you are an active or passive member, we encourage you to join us at an upcoming event.  As summer sun gives way to rain, we are currently planning activities to carry us through the months ahead – check the website’s calendar and look for announcements in your email.  Chat with the men you meet at Shabbat services, adult education, before and after religious school – chances are, they are just as eager as you to share in the camaraderie that is Beit Haverim Men’s Group.
